15 more days to christmas! 10 more days to my birthday! 5 more days to....the day before shimin's birthday! 0 more days to...whatever.

top 10 books [i'm a ~~nerd~~intellectual!]

1) the clique

the characters are rich, gorgeous, bitchy, popular, made of sugar and spice and all that's nice. [that phrase just popped into my head]. only drawback is that they're like 11 or 12. or even 10, resulting in lack of action on the guy front.

2) gossip girl

a grown up version of the clique. decidedly trashier, bitchier, classier what with the characters having catfights over a gorgeous guy, backstabbing, debating about the V issue and the works. therefore gossip girl>the clique.

3) shopaholic

i really liked the shopping bits in this story. and of course who isn't interested in watching Becky fall in love with Luke and eventually live together happily ever after. Before= broke, crappy job, in debt, no money for shopping sprees. After= wife of rich businessman, doesn't have to work DUH, loads of money to blow on shopping. we all are suckers for a happy ending. admit it.

4) harry potter

well who doesn't like this book. harry potter's parents get killed, he becomes famous, every guy wants to be him and every girl wants him. okay maybe not but you get the idea. throw in a geeky brainiac who turns gorgeous [AHA HAPPY ENDING. TOLD YOU SO] and a goofy best friend and tons of weird things happening and you get a really interesting book.

5) the au pairs

hmm. three girls, one extremely gorgeous, one gorgeous and rich [or used to be], one gorgeous and poor, come together to work as au pairs for a rich family. sounds boring but here's the catch. that rich family lives in the Hamptons. lots and lots of partying, sex, drugs, booze, rock and roll [looks at crystal]. of course, there's the bonding between the rich and the poor, the rich [used to be] falls in love with the poor, the poor falls in love with the rich etc. HAPPY ENDING YOU GUYS.

6) prep

the text is minuscule. really. but the cover alone makes up for that. as i distinctly remember yingjie saying "why do your books look so classy" or something like that. HAH (: anyway this is more of a book from a ~~loser~~normal person's point of view on how's it like to be on scholarship in a prestigious prep school and what happens and all. not really happy ending but the character learns blahblahblah.

7) perfect

the girl is bulimic. and her father's dead. so throughout the book she struggles to accept that reality and bring her family back together again. and she also realises that the most popular girl in school is actually like her, bulimic and that there's no difference between the both of them actually. whatever.

8) the virginity club

this is NOT PORN. or whatever. it's just a scholarship which is awarded to a student who has proven to a panel of judges that she's pure of mind, body and soul= are they a virgin or not -.- four friends try out for this scholarship and when four girls come together, you get tons of secrets, backstabbing, catfights and happy endings.

9) faking 19

rich girl and poor girl. rich girl has everything working for her, grades, looks whatever. poor girl is kinda screwed with dropping grades and broken family. rich girl falls in love with older guy who turns out to be an asshole. rich girl turns out to be not so perfect under that burberry-clad exterior. poor girl falls in love with older guy, fights with older guy, ends up with older guy. end.

10) this lullaby

by sarah dessen. what can i say. this book kicks ass.

1) Xiaxue

well she's probably the most popular blogger in Singapore so her posts cover a wide plethora of topics, controversial and not. her bitchy rants about things that irritate her are an added plus. her girly posts on how to apply make-up, clothes etc add to it all.

2) Pinkshoefetish

she closed it down ): in the past, her blog usually features all the gorgeous clothes, shoes and whatnot she buys but recently, it focuses more about her personal life and her feelings on stuff. this blog is really popular too. i mean, who doesn't like to know what's it like to be perfect and have the perfect life.

3) Verypoisonouslady

down to earth person who's just like anyone of us. pictures of her clubbing and her job as a promoter or something involving dancing and stuff. your inner-18-year-old can totally relate to this. the clubbing part i mean. but she closed it down!

4) Blackhighheels

yay. she hasnt closed her blog yet thank goodness. anyway she's cut down on the girly posts sadly and focused more on her work and problems. isn't as much of a photo-whore as the above three bloggers but her rants about work and all are actually kind of interesting. okay okay i'm sadistic.

5) Trent

this blog has the latest scoop on all the celebrities, who's pregnant, who's married, who's hooking up with who etc. loads of pictures and all too. a nice, trashy read (: it also has the latest on gadgets, clothes, books and whatever. and of course, what's in and what's not.

6) Girl Issues

features lots of stuff that girls can totally relate to. provides interesting posts like the one on bitch insults, how to wear your uniform right, do-s and don't-s of hairstyles and top 10 places to snag a hot guy. of course the posts making fun of _ are highly amusing as well.

7) Retard Patrol/Museum of Twits

these two sites simply crack me up. no one makes fun of _ as well as them. NO ONE.

8) Tan Ying Jie

she blogs about anything and everything and puts a scandalous spin to it. VERY GOOD.

9) Crystal Lee

you can rely on her for random weird lyrics which are actually kind of nice after you keep listening to the actual song. and for crazily hilarious rants like that one about dengue mozzies i think.

10) Louis Lim

i needed a tenth blog and i couldnt think of any others (: HAHAHAHAHHA. okay seriously anyway, his blog has all that trivia on reality shows and song updates and all. NICE.
